Senior Collection in the Cornell Fashion Collective’s Annual Fashion Show
It is easy to get trapped in the routine and chaos of your daily life where every small inconvenience can feel overwhelming. Without separation you can’t get clarity or think through tough decisions. Escaping to a place that instantly slows your mind and allows you to simply take in what you are experiencing can help you see clearly. This place is your happy place.For me this was walking through the streets of Rome with no destination in mind, no map, no music, just the low rumble of other people walking and driving through the streets. Everyone needs that place that helps them re-center and is reflected in this collection.
Featured in this collection are textiles naturally dyed with Indigo and Madder from India.
The colors and prints are reminiscent of pictures taken in Italy of architecture and nature to bring the sense of warmth and comfort as well as the vibrancy of life to the viewer.
Select garments feature fabric that has been hand manipulated to have a bubbled texture created by boiling marbles in the fabric.

Featuring cotton tulle underskirt for comfort and fullness. The straps snap at the back and the top has elastic for easy on and off.

T-shirt features a compression lining to help calm the model who is on the autism spectrum.
The outfit features flatlock stitching constructions for comfort and an elastic waistband for ease of dressing.
