What some may see as a disability or weakness should be seen as an advantage or strength.

I am an Adaptive Childrenswear Designer who focuses on hiding function and creating outward surfaces children will beg to wear with easy silhouettes parents will love for easy of dressing and versatility.

Design is identifying problems and putting yourself into someone else’s shoes in order to solve that problem in the best way possible. Adaptive design in addressing the challenges faced by people with disabilities. These needs include having garments that fit and work for their daily lives while being fashionable. But beyond this includes anticipating needs that aren’t clear or explicitly fashion related, but can be addressed through design. Design requires a high level of empathy, and the goal is to use fashion to spread empathy and understanding throughout society through what we create.
